Kenyona Chaney Thomas


Kenyona's dreams are her reality. She is a first-generation college graduate, world traveler, home owner, and wife — all before the age of 23.

Currently a Marketing & Branding Coordinator for remote firm, Encounter Your Potential, Kenyona works with clients to build their personal brand and project manages events for clients such as Google. She has worked effortlessly to grow her career and expertise in marketing. Her work experience includes: Ampro Industries, Inc., Shelby County Health Department, M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment, and Syracuse University.

In 2019, she was chosen to attend the TIME 100 summit as part of their "Rising Star" program and soon after helped to lead PR efforts for a school-wide protest at Syracuse University — leading to a front page story in the New York Times.


Since 2013, Kenyona has been a professional model. Scoring opportunities that has landed her on billboards, in fashion shows, as the face of several haircare products, and many freelance opportunities. Her portfolio includes: Ampro Gel, Shine ’n Jam, DooGro, Blue Magic, Memphis Fashion Week and more.


Kenyona has a B.S. in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In recent years, she has been a member of: NAACP, PRSSA, PRSA and Memphis Urban League of Young Professionals.
